"Dental Technologies: The Leading Edge of Dental Care"
Dental Technology offers an exciting range of technological products for the dental surgery. We at Dr Grover's Dental Clinic pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, service and a competitive price. Having a region wide distribution team allows Dental Technology to offer an unparalleled level of service to it's customers whilst allowing it to keep it's costs to a minimum. This in turn translates to a huge cost savings to Dental Technology's most important asset - you the customer. Comparing the dental practice of 10 years ago we are able to see the huge change in the way dentistry is now practiced. Something that Dental Technology is happy to have had a significant role in changing. Technological innovation has ushered in a new age in dentistry. The Dream of the High Tech Practice is now a reality. Computerized imaging, digital x-ray, digital photography, interactive case presentation, patient education and the modern variant of the traditional intra oral camera combine with new aesthetic restorative materials to increase efficiency, productivity and practitioner satisfaction. The world's most advanced equipment allows the experts at Dr. Grover's Dental Clinic, Advanced Dentistry Centre to diagnose precisely and offer you a treatment plan immediately. Accurate diagnoses lead to effective, minimally invasive treatments. Diagnostic equipment with emphasis on preventative care is the wave of the future: detecting tiny abnormalities and monitoring them minimizes or eliminates the need for future invasive treatments. Advanced, eco-friendly digital X-ray units minimize radiation exposure and detect abrasions in their earliest stages.
Some of the more popular technologies include:
CSN Digital Intra-Oral X-Ray Imaging System (Italy)
  1. Digital X-ray can be taken "in house" to capture dental images through a sensor that processes the image onto a computer screen, resulting in convenience and flexibility for patients.
  2. Digital images are stored on the computer under the patient's profile and can easily be accessed without the need for transporting or storing X-ray films.
  3. Digital images can be magnified up to 300 X to reveal cavities and other abnormalities in their earliest stages
  4. Open design allows for more patient comfort as images are being taken
  5. Allows for immediate and accurate patient diagnosis resulting in "on-the-spot" solutions

  1. Advanced RX2 HP sensor allow high resolution digital images to be enhanced, increasing precision of diagnosis and surgical procedures
  2. Short X-ray pulses reduce radiation exposure by 90%
  3. Digital technology eliminates the need for any hazardous development chemicals

  1. Eliminates waiting time between diagnosis and treatment and reduces treatment time, thus ensuring patient convenience
Very Low Radiation Digital X Rays: Low radiation x-rays have other benefits. Being low radiation, and we are talking about a 90% reduction in the radiation levels, these x-rays have become very safe for children. It also means less radiation being released into the environment. Digital technology also means there is no need for chemicals or the film used to develop the old x-rays. X-rays are an important diagnostic tool for a dentist. Modern low radiation digital X-rays are safer, faster, and cleaner than those used years ago. If your dentist suggests an x-ray, you can relax in the knowledge that today's x-rays are safe and no longer an uncomfortable experience. In years gone by, an x-ray was a useful tool that gave the dentist a good view of the teeth structure, particularly the root structure that is hidden below the gum line. Apart from that, an x-ray had little further use. Today, with a digital x-ray being stored on a computer, the dentist can enlarge the size and hone in on various areas to get a real close up view. Your X-ray can be further enhanced by using elaboration to get a crystal clear view of the captured Image, even the Hi-Tech device can convert the Image in 3-D view. This has improved a dentist's ability to diagnose problems and develop treatment plans.
CSN Digital Intra-oral X-ray Machine (Italy)

  1. High quality images with maximized image resolution
  2. Eco-friendly delivery
  3. Short x-ray pulses decrease radiation exposure

Dentsply Propex II - 5th Generation

The Propex ® II Apex Locator world's best selling apex locator offers enhancements for the latest in endodontic solutions. This is a device used to locate the terminal part of the tooth root, that is its Apex and further measure the length of the existing canals, to accomplish successful Root Canal treatment. The Propex® II Apex Locator features a new higher resolution full color visual display for much better tracking of the files. Now in it's 5th generation this model also incorporates the latest apex locator multi frequency technology. Coupled with the new, closer, view of the apical area provided by an extended apical zoom function, which automatically activates when the file reaches this critical location, the new full color display makes locating the apex considerably easier, even in more difficult conditions.

Easily Portable
The Propex II apex locator has a small footprint and operates on a rechargeable battery, so it can be moved between dental surgeries with ease. Using the latest battery technology, this unit maintains it's charge well, even with the new higher resolution color display. Battery technology is money well spent on an apex locator unit. Many units drop significantly in accuracy as unit energy level drops. The Propex II has batteries that last, in a unit which also operates well at lower power levels.   X-SMARTTM
TheX-SMARTTM is an endodontic micro-motor, specifically designed to drive NiTi rotary instruments (the instruments used to prepare your tooth for root canal treatment) The X-Smart™ is a user friendly, compact and latest gadget existing in the international market, adapted to the needs of an endodontic practice. There is a clear LCD screen that is angled for easy visualisation during preparation. It indicates the various settings that have been chosen by the operator: speed, torque, gearing, direction of rotation, program (nine in total), auto reverse
setting and gives a real-time read out of the load being applied to the instrument in the form of a graduated bar. There are also battery charge and audible warning indicators.
Endo Activator for Root Canal Treatment

The EndoActivator is a sonic device used to 'activate' the irrigation solution to assist in cleaning and disinfection of canals after shaping with hand or rotary files. Simple to operate, the EndoActivator integrates into a clinician's current Endodontic technique without complication and assists in improving debridement and disruption of the smear layer and biofilm. A cleaned root canal system facilitates three dimensional obturation, which logically promotes improved Endodontic outcomes.

Bone Replacement: There are three types of bone replacement used to assist people suffering from bone loss or those requiring extraction:

  1. Autogenous Man Made Bone Replacement: A synthetic freeze dried material that is made in the laboratory.
  1. Bone Replacement from bovine origin: Bone that is preserved, processed and sterilized from a deceased individual or animal source.
  2. Grafting Bone Replacement: Bone taken from another area of the body, such as the iliac crest section of the pelvis.
Platelet-rich growth factors can help induce rapid bone growth and healing. It is used in bone replacement and offers rapid healing properties. Bone replacement performed by clinicians today is more refined than in the past and can be more easily assimilated into the existing bone structure.
CAD/CAM Technology: CAD/CAM (computer assisted design, computer assisted manufacture) technology allows for the fabrication of dental restorations through computerized technology. Your dentist may provide you with CAD/CAM tooth restorations . These procedures include: inlays, onlays, porcelain veneers, dental crowns, Implant Crowns and dental bridges. Caries Detection Solution: Caries detection solution is a liquid red dye that is applied over a tooth to confirm that all tooth decay is removed from an affected area that has been treated. This solution is very similar to plaque disclosing tablets that are used after brushing to highlight any areas you missed or that aren't thoroughly cleaned. CAT Scans: A 3-D image CAT scan is used to help implantologists (dentists who provide surgical and restorative implant services) view and work on the jawbone or surrounding bone structure to produce more accurate results. CAT scan technology has become increasingly specialized for dentistry as implants, rather than dentures, have become the standard of care for tooth replacement. Composite Materials: Composite resin materials are now used in some veneers and other restorations, to fill cavities and to bond onto or rebuild a tooth. Composite resins offer a tooth-like resolution and have grown in popularity over the years. They are continually being improved and refined to better replicate tooth colors, to be easier to apply and to hold their shape without slumping off the tooth. The handling of and the speeds associated with curing composite resins, coupled with the translucent qualities of the newer materials, has helped to produce beautiful natural looking results. Treatment of Dry Mouth We help the Patients use Artificial Saliva in case of Xerostomia that is Dry Mouth Syndrome. Even If your dry mouth is temporary or a chronic problem we at Dr. Grover's Dental Clinic have the solution for it. Dental Implants: Dental Implant Technology continues to improve. Mini-implants can now accommodate small tooth replacements. The bio-integration of the titanium tooth root with human bone is completely predictable. The results are very long lasting. The industry has also focused on reducing treatment time and some implants can be placed immediately after tooth extraction as opposed to waiting six months after extraction. In many instances, dental implants are now the standard of care if a tooth needs to be extracted or if there is a question as to whether a root canal procedure should be done.   Invisaligns
Super modern technology to treat Irregular & Crooked teeth is right here at Dr. Grover's Dental Clinic that is "Invisaligns" these are a series of clear, removable teeth aligners that orthodontists use as an alternative to traditional metal dental braces. The most obvious Advantage of the treatment is that they are highly
Cosmetic: the aligners are completely transparent, therefore far more difficult to detect than traditional wire and bracket braces. This makes the method particularly popular among adults who want to straighten their teeth without the look of traditional metal braces, which are commonly worn by children and adolescents. Desensitizers: Desensitizers can be used by your dentist or hygienist prior to dental treatment if you have sensitive teeth, so that you are comfortable throughout treatment. Desensitizers can be used alone or in conjunction with other pain and anxiety relief modalities such as a local anesthetic or sedation dentistry. Fiber Optic Hand Pieces: Fiber Optic hand pieces assist in tooth preparation procedures and can be used with diamond cutting instruments. Excellent focus of beam of light offers a convenient delivery of quality treatment which puts less stress on the healthy tooth structure. In this way treatment is done much faster in shorter appointments. Internet: Today, dental appointments can be made through a practice website. Dentists can send dental technicians emails with your intra-oral photos in real time so that they can discuss the case in real time with you in the chair. The Internet also serves as an informational tool through which you can receive updates as they relate to the field of dentistry. Intra-Oral Camera: Intra-oral cameras can produce accurate images of your teeth and the supporting structure. This allows you, your dentist and a dental technician that might be involved in your treatment, to see tooth defects. Intra-oral cameras also help you to learn more about dental hygiene practices, including where to focus on brushing your teeth. Loupes: The use of Loupes in dentistry has been one of the latest trends to perfect acute vision for dentists. Magnification offer dentists the ability to see micro-cracks, weakened underlying tooth structure and the proximity of the dental nerves with precise accuracy. They also offer more accuracy in removing affected tooth structure while preserving healthy tooth structure. It is an improved diagnostic tool as well as a treatment-assist dental tool. Periodontal Antibiotics: There are "site specific" antibiotics that are designed to concentrate the treatment in specific locations. Periodontal antibiotics are applied directly to the diseased site, enhancing the effectiveness of treatment for periodontal disease. ViziLite: ViziLite is a recently approved oral lesion identification and marking device. It is a painless screening tool for the detection of small changes in your mouth. Vizilite also identifies, evaluates and monitors oral abnormalities in patients who are at increased risk for oral cancer. Patient acceptance of comprehensive treatment plans is dramatically improved with the use of High Tech aids and effective patient education. We are in the age of multimedia - communicating with your patients is easy - with our help. The end result is clinical excellence, a happy patient and a more profitable practice. Advancements in dental technology can offer you modern solutions to traditional dental problems. The driving force behind technological advances is a desire to provide you with leading edge dental treatment that can be performed in a more efficient, effective, comfortable manner. To the casual observer, it may appear that not much has changed in dentistry. Yet dental technologies have been evolving continually, helping to transform the field of dentistry. New technologies are developed with a focus on creating products and developing techniques that can be used by your dentist to help prevent, diagnose and/or treat dental conditions and diseases early and effectively. There are many dental technologies for your dentist to choose from, with benefits that can provide you with more comfort and ease during treatment.
